lake powell

sorry i'm the worst blogger ever. actually i'm not that sorry because i don't care that much. anywho...i got to spend the last week in heaven with one of my best friends and her family. seriously though, lake powell is heaven on earth. and i apologize that i don't have many pictures...i kind of forgot to take pictures, so i have a few. but we spent the week swimming, waterskiing, wakeboarding, cliff jumping, exploring, eating, having tube wars that ended with more injuries than we bargained for, attempting to blow up fish, sleeping under the stars, enduring tornado force winds in the middle of the night, getting lacrosse ball sized bruises, suffering from stupid blisters, playing cards, dominating at scum, having bonfires, almost getting killed by defective fireworks, pushing boats a half mile because it runs out of gas, and really just having a good time. i couldn't have asked for a better trip. it was that fun. honestly.

happy fourth week

probably my most favorite place to go ever is my cabin, in the "ever populous" driggs, idaho. but i love it up there because it's a small town with some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. my favorite time to go there is in the winter, because i'm an avid skier, and grand targhee is one of my favorite ski resorts. but going up in the summer and fall is also a lot of fun. there are tons of hikes to go on and way too many place to even count that are perfect for exploring.
last week i got to celebrate the 4th of july at my cabin and it was definitely a good time.

memorial weekend adventures

this memorial weekend i headed down to st. george with mariah, jane, and izzi.
we stayed at my family's house in hurricane, which is about 5-10ish minutes outside of st. geezy.

i absolutely loooove southern utah. i love the red rocks, the cliffs, the desert.
just about as much as i love northern utah and skiing.

but i pretty much love everything about utah.
if i were legit native american, i'd probably live in southern utah amongst the red rocks.
in a cave. hunting. gathering. being awesome.

we stopped at the gas station/petting zoo in scipio. 

i got a new adventure shirt. it's a giant cat and i love it.

we did some modeling at the emerald pools in zion np.

we did the riverside walk right before you enter the narrows.
i would love to go back and hike the narrows someday. 

we also went to the pool and worked on our tans.
but mostly got sunburned. 

except mariah got pretty tan. and her face was untouched.

we explored the red cliffs by the dixie rock and watched the sunset. 

turns out there was a scorpion in the room izzi and i slept in.

we went to sand hollow reservoir and chilled by the lake for a few hours.

i'd say it was a pretty successful weekend.

at about 6:55 tonight, i was about to leave on my nightly run, and my sister suddenly remembered there was a zumba class tonight. i wasn't in the mood to go at all, regardless, she dragged me to the sports mall where i experienced my first ever real life zumba class.

-first off, i can't dance. at all.

-i had a really hard time keeping a straight face/i couldn't take the class seriously.

-i probably got a better workout from laughing than what the class could have done for me.

-people get waaaaay too in to it.

-the instructor girl person looked like she belonged at a library with the other nerds (however, i was slightly jealous that she had the moves of beyonce).

-also, out of the corner of my eye, i swear the bag behind me was moving. when i finally looked at it, there was a dog inside of it.

am i gonna go back? i honestly couldn't say.

scooters, crafts, and dinosaurs, oh my!

i've been done with school (for the summer) for almost 2 months now and i'm still bored out of my mind.
i haven't really done anything epic. and i'm CRAVING to go on an adventure.
my friends and i keep saying we will do things (like road trips and camping and a day at lagoon), but we never actually follow through. i would like to follow through one of these days and bring an end to all this boredom.

i have been crafting a lot lately. when i get back from work, i go straight to my room and create something while watching 30 Rock (see pictures below).
my room is a mess...covered in paper, fabric, lace, cupcake liners, string, mod podge, etc.
but it's all worth it.

i've also been pretty busy planning my harry potter party.
i'm in charge of the decorations (seeing that it is at my house).
all i know is that it's going to be pretty E.P.I.C.
and i bought our midnight premiere tickets yesterday. (well 12:40 am).
it was either midnight with crappy seats or 12:40 with amazing seats.
i definitely chose the amazing seats.

but on another note...here's an update of my summer so far.

1. mariah and i went on a scooter adventure.

3. cupcake garland for the harry potter party.
4. the invitations for the harry potter party.
