of course this would happen to me.

my vacant wisdom teeth would get infected again.
i would wake up saturday morning and look like half of a cabbage patch doll.
i would be in pain. and look like i have a golf ball shoved in my left cheek.
i would be taking more infection killing meds. and pain meds.
tylenol with codeine would make me feel funny. and sick.
my parents would come pick me up in provo. and i love them for it.
i would get car sick on the way home and throw up.
i would have to get emergency dental surgery tomorrow. and i'm dreading it.
i would get to miss all my classes tomorrow.

i hate life [but not really].
i'm sick of mouth pain.
i'm sick of looking like a cabbage patch doll.
i'm sick of being sick.
i'm sick of warm weather.
i want to wear sweaters.
i want someone to talk to.
i want to be better.
i want to look normal and not like a chipmunk.
i really just want this dumb infection to go away.

i promised myself i'd stop blogging about how much my life sucks.
but i felt right now was perfectly acceptable.
so this will be the last 'my-life-sucks-listen-to-me-complain' post.
sorry you have to listen to me complain.
but i doubt many read this anyways.

vampire weekend, gum infection, + labor weekend at the cabin.

9.5.10
It’s been quite a long week. And I’ve gone back to typing correctly. [Not all lowercase.]
Mostly because I keep getting that urge to hit the shift button at the beginning of sentences.
But back to the topic of this being quite a long week.
First week of classes and I’ve come to the conclusion that I hate to read. That is, school related readings.
Hit me up with Harry Potter and I’ll read for hours.
School will be good though.
The past few days have been more than eventful.
So I’ll begin with Thursday.
Wednesday night actually.

I was helping Mary download music in her dorm.
Then I checked my email.
I had received one from 24tix.com about upcoming events.
First event on the list?
Only Vampire Weekend and Beach House.
Two bands I happen to enjoy. A lot.
September 2nd. 7:30 @ In The Venue.
That date happened to be the next night.
Mary says: OH MY GOSH. Let’s go?
I reply: Well, I might have to miss my class because it’s at five. And I like this class. So I don’t really want to miss.
Mary says: But it’s Vampire Weekend.
I then say: Ok. Let’s go.
Sixty-five bucks later [for two tickets] we have tickets for Vampire Weekend.
We end up leaving immediately after my class [around 6:15] and we made it to In The Venue by seven o’clock.
Desperate times lead to desperate measures.
I went 95 in a 55 mph construction zone. Call me a rebel.
I mostly went around 70 the rest of the way.
Let’s just say I’m pretty good at driving.
And weaving. And avoiding cops.
We made it to SLC in 30 minutes.
Vampire Weekend was amazing. Second best concert I’ve ever been to [second because nothing tops Regina.]

I got my Harry Potter poster.
And I love it.

On Friday, I finished classes by eleven and was home in Salt Lake City by noon.
One problem though.
I was having excruciating pain in my mouth where a wisdom tooth once sat. The bottom left. My left cheek was swollen and looked like I stuffed a golf ball in my cheek.
The dentist called us back and told me to come in so he could take a look.
To my dismay, it wasn’t dry socket, but an infection. Apparently it healed too quickly and food got stuck inside of it and began to rot.
The dentist numbed the left side of my face and began poking and jabbing and cutting my gums up, getting the nasty infection goo out. I cried and squeezed the feeling out of my mom’s hand. Even though I was numbed to high heavens, I could still feel stuff. I hate pain, especially when it in my mouth.
30 minutes later I left the dentist with gauze in my mouth and tears streaming down my face.
Now I have to take infection-killing pills and rinse my mouth out with mint and medical flavored mouth wash that makes everything I eat taste like band-aids or something gross.
Honestly I know other people’s lives suck. But my life sucks too. It’s getting better though. The swelling has gone down and the pain has lessened, but I’m on amoxicillin and foul tasting mouthwash for a week or so.

I spend Labor Weekend at the cabin and it was the best break I've had in a long time. Mostly because I haven't been to the cabin since February. But I wish I was still there. It was nice to get away from Provo.
Here are some pictures to sum up my weekend:
my favorite shoes.
maddie riding the bike.

the epitome of creepy.
cuter brother.
get off my porch.
we played with legos for a majority of the weekend.
praying? or knife searching?
DELICIOUS.
scooter riding.

arachnids + recently removed wisdom teeth are not my thing.

my fear of spiders has grown quite significantly.
and that is due to an unfortunate event that occurred in the early hours of the morning.
and by early, i mean one o'clock am this morning.
i was having trouble sleeping as it is...my cheeks are the size of tangerines and i look like a cabbage patch doll...i'm truly in pain and i wish it would all go away.
but what happened was absolutely horrible. silly. but horrible.
i had finished my movie and i walked into my room to get into bed. i turned around to close the door.
and there it was.
big [like the size of a penny]. hairy. black and white. and perched like hawk on my wall.
i didn't scream. because my family was sleeping. but i did not move for a good five minutes and i did not take my eyes off the the wretched beast sitting on my wall.
i contemplated my options.
i could sit here all night and watch the spider. make sure it stayed out of my bed and only on the wall and have my dad kill it in the morning.
or.
i could just kill it myself.
i was so, so, so close to staying up all night, but i chose the more logical option.
i ran to the bathroom and came back with enough toilet paper to clog a toilet.
the spider was now a few inches higher than its last position.
i stood by the wall for another good five minutes and then i went in for the kill.
except it didn't die.
it was crawling up my arm.
i screamed and burst into tears. and it takes A LOT to make me cry.
like getting run over by a golf cart. [a story to be told in a future post.]
i brushed the beast off my arm and it fell to the ground. crawled towards my bed.
it was NOT going to sleep with me.
i picked up a shoe and beat it to the ground repeatedly. tears flooding my eyes.
the spider shriveled up, but i did not stop hitting it.
it was horrible and i cried myself to sleep.
i'm so pathetic. but i really, truly, deeply, passionately, madly loathe spiders.

i want a bbq bacon cheeseburger. not gauze.

well. i got my wisdom teeth out this morning.
and to be quite honest. i feel fine. that is...i can't feel anything.
i have yet to feel the real pain, but hopefully the painkillers will do me justice. i HATE pain.
spiders and pain. my two biggest fears.
i'm sick of having gauze in my mouth. my face is de-numbing and it tingles whenever i touch the lower half of my face.
i'm really, really, really, really, really, really, really craving a burrito from chipolte and a bbq bacon cheeseburger from five guys. but i can't eat anything for a few days.
today i've eaten a caribbean passion smoothie from jamba juice [my favorite], jello, chocolate milk, and a strawberry/peach shake. it's not bad, but i miss food.

i'm watch angus, thongs, and perfect snogging right now. i love this movie. it inspires to jet off to england and find a cute british boy and be perfectly happy.
too bad i can't...yet. maybe one day. i'm going to go to england for sure though. i do not know when, but it WILL be soon.
i'm surprise i'm not tired. i haven't been able to sleep at all today and i really could use a nice nap.

ha...i just realized that as i read what i write aloud in my head, i'm speaking with a british accent. and it's not just because i'm watching a british movie...i do this all the time. and i love it.
i'm going to try and take a nap now.
hopefully the adventure starts up next week. i've got two [maybe three] weeks of summer left, and i'm going to make them epic...maybe.
au revoir.
