lake powell
sorry i'm the worst blogger ever. actually i'm not that sorry because i don't care that much. anywho...i got to spend the last week in heaven with one of my best friends and her family. seriously though, lake powell is heaven on earth. and i apologize that i don't have many pictures...i kind of forgot to take pictures, so i have a few. but we spent the week swimming, waterskiing, wakeboarding, cliff jumping, exploring, eating, having tube wars that ended with more injuries than we bargained for, attempting to blow up fish, sleeping under the stars, enduring tornado force winds in the middle of the night, getting lacrosse ball sized bruises, suffering from stupid blisters, playing cards, dominating at scum, having bonfires, almost getting killed by defective fireworks, pushing boats a half mile because it runs out of gas, and really just having a good time. i couldn't have asked for a better trip. it was that fun. honestly.

Summer has officially begun.
This past week has been quite fun and rather memorable, full of parties, adventure shirts, and breathtaking hikes. But let me point out quickly that my blog may look a little different, but only slightly. I pressed the wrong button and now the part with all the text is white, and not cream. It bothers me because it is too white; however, I cannot fix it.
But let me continue with the more important parts. I have graduated from high school. Done. Forever. It's pretty strange being a high school graduate. I will probably feel the full effects when I start college, but for now I will enjoy my summer. After graduation we partied it up at Classic Skating, and then next day I went to Moab with some friends.
The "sunset hikes" at the Slickrock Bike Trail.
The Adventure Shirt Shop on Main Street.
I loved the hike because I went off on my own and explored. I love to explore. Even on the big hike we went on, I left the trail and explored with Eden. We climbed a giant rock. The Slickrock Bike Trail was really just a bunch of smooth rock hills, but they were huge. Watching the sunset was really pretty.

Fourteen hour bus rides suck.
I have slept twenty hours since 10:00 am yesterday. That is how tired you get after spending fourteen hours on a bus. But times that by two bus rides. Yes, you might want to kill yourself. Benedryl helps, but only keeps you asleep for a small bit. And when your friends won't shut up and your cramming two people in a small space for such a long amount of time, you want to die. But the California trip was SO much fun!!!
Honestly, I cannot explain how much fun I had. We left Wednesday night and arrived Thursday morning, only to be forced to sing at a horrible clinic directed by a horrible woman. What kind of person makes you spend fourteen hours on a bus and then sing for two hours immediately after the drive? It was absolutely awful! But we went to the beach after! The beach was quite nice. Some friends and I walked like two miles to the Stuffed Surfer for lunch/dinner. Delicious shakes and burgers might I add. Below is my favorite picture at the beach, taken at a much too perfect moment.
The next day was the BEST day. Why? DISNEYLAND!
I LOVE Disneyland!!!! My friends and I enjoyed the day bouncing back and forth from Disneyland to California Adventure. Highlights [and pictures to sum up how awesome it was]:
California Screamin' [my all-time favorite pictures].
Tower of Terror [best group picture].
Splash Mountain.
I happened to be on the last boat down Splash Mountain before it broke down. Yes, it was epic and we got to walk through the ride [see pictures below] and we got a free fast pass to ANY ride in the park. My four other friends were three boats away from the big hill, so I feel quite honored to make it down the hill. Basically we were at Disneyland for sixteen hours. My feet killed and I wanted to kill everyone at the end of the day. But the pain was worth it. I had a blast!
The next day was Universal Studios. It was fun but nothing to brag about.
This picture pretty much sums up the whole day.
I wish we would have gone to Disneyland for two days.
I did see Spongebob though.
Definitely a highlight.
Tonight I went and saw Prince of Persia with mis amigos. It was pretty good, except the ending was too happy. I wish I was a princess sometimes. The princess in this movie was gorgeous and she wasn't your typical damsel in distress princess. She was more like a warrior princess. I wish I was a warrior princess, with hot prince. Boy would life be grand.
On the car ride home we were talking about crying in movies, because apparently one of my friends cried in Prince of Persia. I'm not the kind of person who cries in movies. It takes A LOT to make me cry. A LOT of emotion or A LOT of pain [like getting run over my a golf cart, which HAS happened to me].
However, there has been ONE movie that I cried in, but I was too ashamed to admit it in the car, due to the amount of embarrassment it generates. But I will just say it, because it is rather funny. So if you were in the car and never heard, here it is...Madagascar 2. Laugh all you want. I cried when the baby lion gets taken away from it's parents. Somehow...it just got to me. But whatever.
My friend Mary and I are trying to crack a friend who is much too shy. I feel we're making progress...maybe. We cracked him a bit in California, but this case may take time. We'll see...but it's been rather entertaining!
