and were all being painted by numbers.

so. i was inspired by a recent post from a beautiful mess, a blog i stalk.
it's a "paint-by-numbers song lyric art thingy" and it was pretty fun to make.
although, as crafty as i am, i suck at painting. or at least staying in the lines.
painting by numbers is definitely not my forte.
after this experience though, i think going to experiment with other materials.
but here's some photos of my crafting adventure this lovely evening.
the battles begins...

the beast has been conquered.
and here's the final product. it's not that bad.
but if you really look at it, it's an awful mess.

so then i put on some vinyl letters.
quoted my idol...regina spektor.
and then i covered the whole thing in white paint.

and BAM. artwork.

it's like house arrest, but not.

i need a new craft to do.
i have made numerous garlands and streamers and headbands.
i'm at the point where i wish i could sew clothes.
but i can't sew to save my life.
but maybe i'll try. i've got ample amounts of time.
i could take up jewelry making again. or i could go thrifting.
maybe birdwatching?
i'll figure something out.

and then again. i should probably get out of my house.
i work from 8:30 to 12:30 every day. and then i come home and do one or more of the following:
1. craft.
2. eat.
3. sleep.
4. watch tv shows on netflix.
5. and on the very rare and minuscule occasion, i run (or go to the gym).

it's not all bad, but it's boring.
i need adventure. i need risk. i need boys.
i need to get out of my house.

scooters, crafts, and dinosaurs, oh my!

i've been done with school (for the summer) for almost 2 months now and i'm still bored out of my mind.
i haven't really done anything epic. and i'm CRAVING to go on an adventure.
my friends and i keep saying we will do things (like road trips and camping and a day at lagoon), but we never actually follow through. i would like to follow through one of these days and bring an end to all this boredom.

i have been crafting a lot lately. when i get back from work, i go straight to my room and create something while watching 30 Rock (see pictures below).
my room is a mess...covered in paper, fabric, lace, cupcake liners, string, mod podge, etc.
but it's all worth it.

i've also been pretty busy planning my harry potter party.
i'm in charge of the decorations (seeing that it is at my house).
all i know is that it's going to be pretty E.P.I.C.
and i bought our midnight premiere tickets yesterday. (well 12:40 am).
it was either midnight with crappy seats or 12:40 with amazing seats.
i definitely chose the amazing seats.

but on another note...here's an update of my summer so far.

1. mariah and i went on a scooter adventure.
2. a flag banner/garland.
3. cupcake garland for the harry potter party.
4. the invitations for the harry potter party.

i also bought a polaroid camera...here are a few pictures from it.

1. me and my baby gracie.
2. my baby brother eating a sandwich.
3. jane and kimberly being jane and kimberly.
4. mariah, me, kimberly, and the elasmasaurus.

The itsy bitsy spider climbed up my sun-kissed arm. My life flashed before my eyes.

I'm sitting outside because it's so nice and a spider just climbed up my arm and I thought I was going to die. I HATE spiders. I make other people kill them for me. It takes a lot to even brush them off my arm. It was absolutely terrifying.

So...I have a new look to my blog. Sort of a summer-esque look about it. I mean, it is the beach. I needed some sort of change. Something new for the summer months.
Today, I went rollerblading at Liberty Park with Mary. Four laps later and we bladed five miles! It's bundles of fun, but I have blisters on the backs of my feet. I guess that's what you get for getting the most awesome rollerblades ever from the DI. It was definitely worth my five bucks though.

I need $1000. Why?
New skis and a ski rack for my car. I'm guessing by the end of the summer, the skis I want will be cheaper, but for now, they will remain $550. I want the 2010 LINE Pandoras. They are beautiful and scream ANNIE. I don't understand why ski racks have to be so expensive though. It'll cost me almost $400 and that's discounted. I bet I could find something cheaper. I just want my car to look cute...
I'm going to be the poorest butt scum of all college students. I have a hard time saving money [I have gotten so much better though! I've saved $100 so far this summer...pathetic but that's a miracle for me]. But the items mentioned above are a must have. I'm a typical ski bum. So what?

I bought some fabric to make a comforter and pillows for my dorm. Like I just made up, "If you can't buy it, make it. Or at least have your mom make it for you." It'll be cute. Yellow, red-ish/pink-ish, and blue...and green I think.

I'm sort of bored.
I want to go to my cabin.
I want to go on an adventure.
I want to go camping at Lake Powell.
I want to throw a party.
I want to go to Lagoon and Cowabunga Bay.
I want more money than I know what to do with it.
I want new TOMS.
I want a popsicle.

I made a headband today. I'm quite proud of myself. I might start a headband business. Make millions...
I sort of like polaroid pictures...a lot.
I want a polaroid camera.
An old-fashioned one.
But, they are impossible to find.
I'm sorry my profile view is so awful. And my bangs. I'm trying to grow them out. But it's going to take awhile.
I'm gonna go play with fireworks.
