reunited and i feel so thrashed

finally got to go skiing this weekend. it was both pleasure and pain.
honestly, i haven't been since june and it was the greatest feeling to wear my boots and my big ol' powders skis and to zip through trees and catch a few good turns in patches of powder. obviously it wasn't the greatest skiing on earth, but it's obvious where all the snow is. i had too much fun.
it was hard though. after not really exercising (and skiing) for a few months, i was definitely not in shape.
my legs were throbbing. my back was slightly aching. and hiking up mary's nipple (it's not as dirty as it sounds...it's just a mountain where the really good skiers ski) really just killed me. however, it was just the motivation i needed to start running again. and skiing down mary's nip was definitely the best run of the day. with a bit of fresh pow here and there, i got a few good turns.
today i'm absolutely sore. and getting up at six am to drive my sister home in time for a farewell was definitely not what i needed after a long day of skiing. i feel trashed and thrashed. but i'm glad i got to go to idaho. it was a much needed weekend trip.
