spontaneous adventures rock.

after my whole "almost-pickpocketed" incident, we went to gare de lyon.
we [me, sam, maddie, and brynn] spent a good 20-30 minutes trying to decide what to do.
finally we decided to just take the RER D out to melun and go to the chateau vaux le vicomte.
maddie and brynn ended up not coming, so just sammie and i went.

and a good choice it was. and it only cost us 22 euro in total.
the train was cold. outside was cold. it was all together cold.
but the chateau was so pretty. i want to live there (but same with every other chateau i visit).
we spent a good 3-4 hours there just exploring and taking pictures, ended up missing the chateaubus by ten minutes, so we had to wait another hour before the next one came.
while we waited we met some other american girls around our age.
turns out they are studying architecture in versailles for 8 months...so cool.
but they told us that the chateau vaux le vicomte was the predecessor for the versailles palace (so basically versailles is based on this chateau). if you want to learn more...google it.
here are some pictures to visually explain how cool this place was.
i'm too tired to write. sorry.
