boxes, giant spiders, and a mockingjay.

goodbye salt lake. hello...provo.
tomorrow morning i move out of my spider infested bedroom and into the dorms at byu.
as happy as i am to live in an [almost, hopefully] spider free environment, i'm kind of sad to leave.
i have been packing all night. and i've learned that i have a lot of clothes.
and i'm not exaggerating. i have a whole box just for hangers.
i still need some decorative pillows for my bed.
and some bowls and spoons for cereal.
i'm going to stop at ikea on my way to provo tomorrow.
i'm kind of sad.
i lost my favorite earrings.
and there were two giant spiders on my pillows today.
i screamed and no one was home to save me.

MOCKINGJAY!
i got the third hunger games book today.
BUT...
i'm only one chapter in because i have to pack.

i have nothing else to say really.
so i guess i'll just go pack.

arachnids + recently removed wisdom teeth are not my thing.

my fear of spiders has grown quite significantly.
and that is due to an unfortunate event that occurred in the early hours of the morning.
and by early, i mean one o'clock am this morning.
i was having trouble sleeping as it is...my cheeks are the size of tangerines and i look like a cabbage patch doll...i'm truly in pain and i wish it would all go away.
but what happened was absolutely horrible. silly. but horrible.
i had finished my movie and i walked into my room to get into bed. i turned around to close the door.
and there it was.
big [like the size of a penny]. hairy. black and white. and perched like hawk on my wall.
i didn't scream. because my family was sleeping. but i did not move for a good five minutes and i did not take my eyes off the the wretched beast sitting on my wall.
i contemplated my options.
i could sit here all night and watch the spider. make sure it stayed out of my bed and only on the wall and have my dad kill it in the morning.
or.
i could just kill it myself.
i was so, so, so close to staying up all night, but i chose the more logical option.
i ran to the bathroom and came back with enough toilet paper to clog a toilet.
the spider was now a few inches higher than its last position.
i stood by the wall for another good five minutes and then i went in for the kill.
except it didn't die.
it was crawling up my arm.
i screamed and burst into tears. and it takes A LOT to make me cry.
like getting run over by a golf cart. [a story to be told in a future post.]
i brushed the beast off my arm and it fell to the ground. crawled towards my bed.
it was NOT going to sleep with me.
i picked up a shoe and beat it to the ground repeatedly. tears flooding my eyes.
the spider shriveled up, but i did not stop hitting it.
it was horrible and i cried myself to sleep.
i'm so pathetic. but i really, truly, deeply, passionately, madly loathe spiders.

a hairy eight-legged beast the size of a quarter is creeping around my bed. i can't sleep.

another post...hooray. but i actually have stuff to say, so i feel it's worth it.
there is a giant spider in my room and i cannot sleep.
i cannot sleep knowing that a hairy eight-legged beast the size of a quarter is creeping around my bed as i sleep. honestly, that's as creepy as a pedophile. and he's not alone. i know he has friends. and they're in my room too.
and there is no such thing as a female spider in my opinion. sure, you've got miss spider and her sunny patch kids and then the spider in james and the giant peach is a girl. and then there's charlotte who writes stuff in her webs. but i can't imagine a female spider. i mean seriously, they're covered in hair and they're creepy to the utmost extreme. they should all die.
that's it. i've gone too far and i'm freaking myself out.

i'm almost done with the final playlist i downloaded. so much new stuff and i love it.
so in a few paragraphs, i will have songs to share...maybe. it might have to wait for the next post.

it's shark week. epic? i think yes.
that's all i've done today, so call me totally awesome. besides church of course. i went to church.
it was great. but really though.
my basement is freezing and i keep getting the chills.
and the heebie jeebies, because there's a spider somewhere...
but i get cold, and then it feels like something is crawling on me and i freak out.
honestly though. i HATE spiders with a fiery passion. a burning one in fact.

but anywho.
i've decided that as soon as i get a printer [with scanner, hopefully] hooked up to my laptop, my blog posts will be ten times more interesting. why?
illustrations! pictures! fun!

i'm like...
really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really excited for college. but i'm also nervous times ten.
i can't wait though. and i'll probably say this in almost every blog post till i get down to the Y. it's coming up almost too soon. and i've still got so much i need to do!
lagoon, idaho, cowabunga bay. those are my priorities at this point.
oh and buying my new skis!
i get my wisdom teeth out this friday. and i'm going to be flat out honest.
i'm really excited for my mom to film the after-surgery part.
i've always wanted to know what i'm like when i'm on drugs. not that i'd ever do them.
but i'll be on them for a legit reason. and i saw my friend mary's video and i died. it was way too funny.

i've got like ten more songs to sort through and then i'm done, so you might get a playlist. or at least a list of my current favorite songs.

just for fun, i'm going to start blogging about my dreams [that is if they are blog-worthy]. i've had weird dreams lately. funny, but weird. and i have a feeling that if i do fall asleep tonight, it'll be a nightmare containing eight-legged pedophiles the size of quarters and sharks. i'll let you know.

i went from over 400 songs to 132, and it's still too much...so songs will come next time.

The itsy bitsy spider climbed up my sun-kissed arm. My life flashed before my eyes.

I'm sitting outside because it's so nice and a spider just climbed up my arm and I thought I was going to die. I HATE spiders. I make other people kill them for me. It takes a lot to even brush them off my arm. It was absolutely terrifying.

So...I have a new look to my blog. Sort of a summer-esque look about it. I mean, it is the beach. I needed some sort of change. Something new for the summer months.
Today, I went rollerblading at Liberty Park with Mary. Four laps later and we bladed five miles! It's bundles of fun, but I have blisters on the backs of my feet. I guess that's what you get for getting the most awesome rollerblades ever from the DI. It was definitely worth my five bucks though.

I need $1000. Why?
New skis and a ski rack for my car. I'm guessing by the end of the summer, the skis I want will be cheaper, but for now, they will remain $550. I want the 2010 LINE Pandoras. They are beautiful and scream ANNIE. I don't understand why ski racks have to be so expensive though. It'll cost me almost $400 and that's discounted. I bet I could find something cheaper. I just want my car to look cute...
I'm going to be the poorest butt scum of all college students. I have a hard time saving money [I have gotten so much better though! I've saved $100 so far this summer...pathetic but that's a miracle for me]. But the items mentioned above are a must have. I'm a typical ski bum. So what?

I bought some fabric to make a comforter and pillows for my dorm. Like I just made up, "If you can't buy it, make it. Or at least have your mom make it for you." It'll be cute. Yellow, red-ish/pink-ish, and blue...and green I think.

I'm sort of bored.
I want to go to my cabin.
I want to go on an adventure.
I want to go camping at Lake Powell.
I want to throw a party.
I want to go to Lagoon and Cowabunga Bay.
I want more money than I know what to do with it.
I want new TOMS.
I want a popsicle.

I made a headband today. I'm quite proud of myself. I might start a headband business. Make millions...
I sort of like polaroid pictures...a lot.
I want a polaroid camera.
An old-fashioned one.
But, they are impossible to find.
I'm sorry my profile view is so awful. And my bangs. I'm trying to grow them out. But it's going to take awhile.
I'm gonna go play with fireworks.
